Load pins

CAPTRONIC designs and manufactures load pins for force measurement range is : 100 daN to 5000KN.

The load pins that we calculate and design allow the measurement of force at low measuring range < 1 daN but also highloads up to several hundreds of tons.

How a load pin works ?

The load pin which is a force transducer can be loaded with a central or overhang load  and measurements via a gauge bridge with shear strain of local area equipped with strain gauges of the body sensor.
The load pins that we design allows the measurement of force at low measuring range < 1 daN but also of high loadsup to several hundred tons.

How to measure a force with our load pins ?

Our load pins can be mechanically divided into 3 categories in term of vectorial force :
- a single measuring channel
- 2 perpendicular measurement channel
- 2 redundant measurement channel for lifting and handling industrial activities.
The load pins equips the load schackles for lifting instrumentation an are a part of lifting components in safety conditions.

Accuracy and uncertainties of measuring the load pin ?

The load pins are susceptible to the angle formed between the result of the stress forceand result of the reaction force, this is why it is necessary (when the requiredprecision class is high) to start by carefully take in account the mechanical environment of the project integration. We can start by an analysis of the mechanical interface elements and the modes of loading of this force sensor in its final true configuration.

Qualification and certification of the load pins ?

Regarding theproduct environment: pressure for submersible axes, temperature, loadingconditions, we produce and test the products with a view to theirqualification. Our vocation is to design and ensure the mechanical integrity ofour measurement chains, calibrations then, we work with a network of notifiedlaboratories in charge of certifications for the different directives: ATEX,IECEx, Machine, MIL STD , DO-160...
